1) 🎯 List the goals you aim to accomplish this year:
To be able to picture your objectives, first you have to understand what they are. Spend a little time thinking about what your best life looks like, and what you need to achieve to get there.
2) 📲 Save a heap load of pictures to your phone.
Start with a Pinterest or Google search, or browse your Instagram feed. Save photos, graphics and quotes to your phone and screenshot them. Go through your own photo gallery to find images of people and things that inspire you or keep your attention focussed. Or get out there and take some photos! Alternatively, get that pile of old magazines out and start tearing out whatever grabs your attention.
3) 🕵🏻♀️ Find pictures that speak to you
Search for ‘love at first sight’ images that make you scream, “Yes! I need that in my life!” Now, these don’t have to be photos of actual objects, it could be a view, or word that depicts a feeling or simply a symbol.
Create a quote or affirmation with the Compo quote maker and save it to your phone. Printed words will help to visually balance your creation.
4) 🖨 Print out your photographs
When you have gathered enough photos, print them. If you use a Picta app they’ll be ready for pickup in like 30 minutes at your local CVS or Walgreens, or you can have them delivered at home. Got ALOT of photos to print? Here’s a Picta coupon.
Whilst you’re in the store, grab a poster board or a piece of foam board to stick your images to. Or you can simply stick them to your wall with tape or sticky putty.
5) 😍 Build your board and look at it daily
Get the most out of your vision board and its significance by hanging or placing it somewhere that you will see it at least once a day. Take a good look at it on a daily basis to stay focussed. I personally like to start my day with a visualization exercise to get that inspiration flowing!
