November 4th came and went with intense speed… and the pace of a turtle. We all knew the 2020 election would look a little different and things would take more time than usual, but this has been trying for even the most zen among us.

Like you, we closely followed this 2020 election season – from the midterms with debate stages filled with candidates, which seem so long ago, and more recently, with the debates and coming up with a voting plan for mail our ballots or find a safe option the day-of. So much has changed, we’ve since found ourselves in the middle of a pandemic, with tensions about the present and the future running high.

How to get through this tumultuous period? 3 things are keeping me sane during these stressful times where the end does not seem in sight.

Patience

Staying positive in uncertain times is something we have gotten used to this past year. 2020 has thrown a lot at us and we understand how important it is to stay grounded and connected to the good moments and the positive aspects of life.

A hopeless optimistic, I am one of the first to look on the bright side of the situation. In these stressful and trying days, even I have found my positive spark nowhere to be found. It feels like our nation is divided more than ever right now. As tensions heat up, I like to take a step back and look at the whole picture. Remember folks, we are all in this boat together. If it sinks, there are consequences for everyone.
